Artist Talk – How to Maintain a Creative Posture

Last week I spent a week at the Grunewald Guild, the arts retreat center in the Cascades where I’ve been encountering inspiring friends and creative community for many years. On Friday, November 6, I gave an artist talk on maintaining a ‘creative posture’ as a way of being present to our everyday lives.

When I go on these retreats, we do introductions at the beginning. I hear over and over how folks are there to “be more creative,” “connect with one’s Artist self,” “find time to make more art.” My practice over the years, and what my talk is about, is how to shift one’s perspective in order to live into a more creative life.

If you make things, or once did, or keep circling back to the wish to, I hope something in this talk meets you where you are, and you find some encouragement! And if it stirs something you’d like to keep exploring, I offer 1:1 sessions on creative and spiritual life. You can always reach out to book a free conversation.
