Updates and Current Exhibits

November 2018 – Join me for a week long retreat I’ll be facilitating at the Grunewald Guild! It’s called Nurturing the Soul of the Contemplative Artist. How can we as artists find deep quiet in which our souls can speak? What is possible for artists who are attuned to the Holy Spirit’s pressing and tugging on our hearts? How are we situating ourselves and our aesthetic practices in presence with the Ground of All Being? And how might we respond to this presence through the creation of our most authentic art, as a gift of service and healing to the world?

October 2018 – I’ll have a large drawing in the SPU Art Gallery for the Drawn Out group exhibit. The exhibit will run from October 1 – November 16, 2018 with a public reception on October 18th, 5-7pmThe act of drawing can be used to document or describe, to inform or entertain, to decorate or demarcate. Drawn Out brings together artworks that offer alternative approaches to drawing’s history of edge finding, erasure, duration and process through unexpected mediums and methods.

I was honored by the acquisition of two of my walk drawings for the City of Seattle Portable Works collection. These works will rotate through the public spaces of the city’s various municipal buildings.

August-September 2018 – The WARZONE drawings will be exhibited as part of the ‘Forging Peace’ art exhibit with Lake Burien Presbyterian Church, at a peacemaking service on August 26th , followed by a reception. The exhibit will then be on display at John Knox Presbyterian Church from August 27th to September 30.

August 2018 – September 2018 I’ll be showing some of my large Seattle-based walk drawings at Bethany Presbyterian Church, with a reception on Sunday, September 16th from 12:15-2:15pm.

June 2018 – My ‘The @ Sign’ drawing, based on a walk through Ballard, is on display at Shoreline City Hall as part of the ‘Centers of Gravity’ exhibit.
